此前 NVIDIA 曾确认 GeForce 9400M 芯片组可以支持最高8GB的内存，打破之前 Mac 本本 4GB 内存支持限量。可是事实上并不是那么一回事，实际使用的结果表明，前不久发布的新款 MacBook / MacBook Pro 虽然能够正确识别 8GB 的内存容量，但在 Mac OS X 操作系统中永远有一半的内存无法使用。这有点诡异了，像是 Mac Pro 早已支持大容量内存。所以目前只能够认为新的 Mac 本本在硬件上能支持 8GB 内存，但 Leopard 操作系统目前无法使用其中的全部。

新款 eeePC S101 下周发布

华硕将于 10 月 7 日在台湾举办顶级精品 eeePC 新款 S101 的发布会，董事长施崇棠、副董事长曾锵声及执行长沈振来将同时到场，而这也是继 2007 年 10 月首款 eeePC 登场后，三巨头再度同台当起销售员拉抬声势。
华硕表示，S101 发布会将邀请全球 40 个国家、逾 200 家媒体来台参与，施崇棠、曾锵声、沈振来、eeePC 易计算机事业处总经理胡书宾及 ID 设计团队等将会接受全球媒体采访。业内人士估计， eeePC S101 单一产品发布会至少将斥资新台币上千万元，如此大阵仗也显见华硕全力抢进全球前 5 大 NB 业者决心。
