Google Apps for Your Domain是Google在今年8月 正式推出 的 Google应用服务网站版服务。在经过几个月的改进，包括正式 支持了多国语言 和 增加了自定义主页 等功能后，现在已经成为Google的一项很受欢迎的服务。在申请上，可能有点不便，尤其是国内的朋友。一般情况下，.cn的域名申请比较难通过，而.com .net等域名容易通过一些；另外，使用美国代理申请成功机会也大一些。不过这些问题与另一个大问题相比还不算什么，那就是： 如果我没有独立域名怎么办？

这是一个很有趣的现象。每次Google推出一种新的服务，只要它与微软现有的产品在功能上有一丁点关联，大家就会说Google要和微软对着干，Google Fans们高呼微软要完了。而与此同时，微软相关的人员比如盖茨大叔等就会跳出来说Google的xxx至少比它的yyy落后N年。与Google Fans们的兴奋相比，一些相关领域的人员往往习惯嘲笑和讽剌Google，认为它推出的产品只是浪得虚名。 前几天Google推出了Apps for Your Domain ，同样也遭到了一间名为Intermedia.NET的公司的挖苦（via GOS ）。
