石坚祖籍广东番禺，原名石荣璋，他在1939年从事电影工作，是粤语电影中的老牌奸角，经常在黄飞鸿系列电影中，担任反派的角色，演出深入人心，有"奸人坚"的外号。石坚1976年转投电视圈发展，拍了多部电视剧，1993年退出影视界。
