We just introduced the beta for our new search. It is by factor 10 faster than the old one.

Additionally you can now use our search functionality via XML as a web service.

All you need to do is modify the search URI a little. A normal search might be:

http://www.creative-weblogging.com/search.php?keyword=rfidWhen you add "&rss" to you you will see the output in XML.

http://www.creative-weblogging.com/search.php?keyword=rfid&rssFor instance if your site covers RFID you just have another great content source for your site by using the feed FOR FREE. The only caveat is that you need to link to us via the links provided in in the RSS feed.

A popular XML Parser for Movable Type can be found here. But there are many capable RSS/XML parser for almost any blog system. You may simply check Google for help.

Another cool usage is that you can build your own keyword alert with that functionality. Just add the kewyord of choice and subscribe to the RSS feed and use your favorite RSS reader like Bloglines or Feed Demon to get instant updates.
