Here at Creative Weblogging we have been increasing the network footprint in the Chinese market. We have three topic-blogs in Chinese so far: Yuleguan; Wangtam; and GSeeker. We also recently kicked off a Chinese version of the corporate blog, http://creative-weblogging.cn.

Instrumental to our growth in China are our three Chinese editors: Michelle Chan, Ken Wong and one who until today was known only by a single name, "Hung."

Hung recently was appointed our Regional Executive Editor for China, with responsibility to help with the strategy to grow the Chinese market. Hung is also responsible for guiding the direction of the Chinese blogs.

Recenty I have had the opportunity to conduct a GMail chat with Hung, which in turn led to an email interview. The following is my email interview of Hung, the new China Regional Executive Editor of Creative Weblogging:

Q: What is your full name?

A: My full name is LeeSwue. "Hung" is the abbreviation of "Solid Rainbow," the nickname I have used since the beginning of the my Chinese blogging life. In Chinese, it means the rainbow.

Q: Where do you blog from?

A: Due to my work, I'm always in migrancy -- moving around. My motherland, China, is the best choice. And I also need to take care of my parents frequently. So, I'm often in China.

Q:Where did you go to college?

A: I graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, majoring in the subject of Psychology. Then, I went to study at the University of California majoring in Occidental History, when I was in Los Angeles.

Q: What is your work experience?

A: My work experience is much more varied. I have worked in some multinational big enterprises, such as AIG, Microsoft Corporation, Symantec, etc. Also I have started up my own business. And now I work as a professional investor in a Foundation in North America.

Q: Do you do blogging as a part-time business or as a hobby?

A: Blogging is just my hobby, and it will not become my full-time work anytime soon. And at present, all of my proceeds from Creative Weblogging have been donated to the Shanghai Children Welfare Institution.

Q: What do you see as the opportunity for Creative Weblogging blogs in China?

A: I think there are many opportunities for the Creative Weblogging group in the undeveloped China blog media market. I will try my best to work as a contact bridge, to help CW expand into the China market, and also take the specialized blog network of CW into China at the same time.

Q: Thank you, Hung. I appreciate your taking the time through email to answer these questions and tell us a little about yourself. Best of luck in your new role.

A: Thank you.
