Well lookie here -- our Hedge Funds Weblog has been re-launched. It is a financial blog, but one that looks at big picture issues such as markets and events that impact the financial markets.

Under the editorial direction of Daniel Harrison, the re-launched site will focus on four areas:

• Op-Ed (opinion)


• Dealtalk (covering deals and equity issues)


• Hedgetalk (covering hedge fund industry-specific news)


• Companies and Markets (which speaks for itself)

Ventureline defines HEDGE FUND as a "special type of investment fund with fewer restrictions on the types of investments it can make." Hedge Funds are known for short selling as a way to drive gains. Some people think of a hedge fund as a less-regulated form of a mutual fund.

Whatever a hedge fund is, we are looking forward to hearing more about them.
