Jim Ippolito, and I'm from New Jersey
Where are you blogging for CW? Since when?
I've been authoring The Celebrities Weblog since April 2004
What would you like to tell about yourself?
I'm a Freelance Writer and photographer
How did you discover the blogoshpere ? Why do you like to blog?
While surfing the net for writing groups I came across an intriguing blog written by an Englishman and the bug bit me.
I find blogging to be an excellent way to express my point of view, and to learn more about the world, and other people who share my opinions. I also like entertaining people and getting their feedback.
How did you become a blogger for CW?
I responded to their ad and went through an application and auditioning process.
What experiences did you have with CW? Do you like working with CW?
It's been a great learning process and has taught me how to use the Internet more effectively for research purposes. Writing for CW has also been instrumental in keeping my creative juices flowing.
I love working with CW. CW's management is highly professional and always there to clear up technical problems and offer advice on where to find subject matter. The staff is very supportive and allows its writers to write as they wish within very generous guidelines, and without micro-management, in order to keep each blog unique.
What are you occupied with when you are not blogging?
Having sex, or doing whatever else my wife wants to do. Actually, I write on spec, and engage in a few other Internet-related, income producing activities. I'm also very active with photography, both digital and traditional film. I restore very old cameras, medium format primarily, and sometimes, they even work when I'm done with them. I'm also very much into music, classical, and all kinds of rock, and I tinker with older stereo and quadraphonic equipment, and I like to cook.
What would you like to get or do ?
I'd like to get a lot of money, and then travel the world, and record my observations in words and pictures. Sort of like Mark Twain, with a camera.
Of course the Internet makes it possible to stay connected from anywhere, so I could still report to CW, but with a roving reporter type of slant.
I also hope to have a book published soon, which so far is proving to be as hard as my long abandoned dream of being a rock guitarist.
What opinion have other people about you? Give a quotation, please ...
I'll give you two:
"He has wit," and,
"You say the things others only think."
Are they right?
I'd like to think so. I try very hard to inject humor into people's lives because I think it's an essential aspect to a healthy, well-rounded mental state.
I'm also rather outspoken, which has caused me to become persona-non-grata at times, but I also feel that being one's self and being honest about one's feelings is the only way to go.
Do you like to make a final remark?
People should be more broad-minded and allow others to live as they wish. There's too much intolerance in the world.
