Google may be the giant of the world when it comes to page ranking and traffic, but Shawn Hessinger of Creative Weblogging's Bootstrapme declares that we don't have to be squashed by this gorilla any longer. The search engine isn't the only bull in the China shop these days. We have social networking on our side:

Instead of focusing only on PageRank, I've also been aggressive with social networks, the most successful in terms of referrals being MyBlogLog.

Others where BootStrapMe has a presence include MySpace, a Yahoo! Group, the Bootstrap Network and, of course, Technorati.

I discovered by accident what trends now indicate, that social networks are gaining ground on the search engines.
